The person behind the camera

I’m Emily, a wedding photographer based in the beautiful East Yorkshire countryside, and I’m all about capturing the joyful, messy and emotional moments that make your wedding yours.


I fell in love with photography because there’s something so special about freezing a moment in time, especially the moments you didn’t even realise were happening. The teary smile from your dad, your partner laughing during the speeches, your friends absolutely losing it on the dance floor… those are the moments I live for.


Around 90% of your wedding is captured naturally and documentary-style, allowing you to actually enjoy your day without feeling like you’re constantly being photographed. The other 10% is where I make sure we capture those important family photos and a few beautiful portraits too.


My goal is simple: to make you feel completely at ease, like you’re hanging out with a friend who just happens to have a camera. I’ll give you a little direction when you need it, but mostly I’ll be there quietly capturing everything as it unfolds.

When I'm not behind the camera at a wedding...

When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm usually still behind a camera.

My life outside of photography is pretty far from quiet! My husband and I are usually out somewhere, exploring, finding something new, or making memories with the people (and animals!) we love.
